Commercial Enterprise

MiLife-Victoria has been supporting individuals with disability for almost 30 years, providing them with meaningful and accessible programs where people can maintain, learn and develop new skills for independence at home, in the community or go on to into further education and employment.

More recently, MiLife-Victoria acquired three commercial enterprises, Designs for Hair Salon in Seaford (owned by MiLife-Victoria) and the Management of a Salon and Café within the Langwarrin Community Aged Care facility in Langwarrin.

The intent of these commercial enterprises is to provide greater opportunities for individuals to engage in work based programs. Participants can enrol in a six month Skills for Work Course which is designed to provide knowledge and skill to prepare people for work through a model of classroom and onsite work based learning. This course is held at the Business and Life Skills Hub in Cranbourne, the the salon in Seaford and Langwarrin and the Cafe in Langwarrin across five days of the week. There are standalone programs which are independent from the six month course. The programs support each of the businesses and develop participants general life and work skills.

If you know of any NDIS participants who may be interested in any of the above then we'd love to hear from you.

To apply to participate in the six-month full time Skills for Work Course please contact MiLife-Victoria on 9775 7333 or email milife@milife-victoria.org.au.
